Wild Woolly Windcote & The Horny Rams

 What a character!

As odd as Moondog, about whom he sings. Like Lee Marvin colliding with Tom Waits on a downer.

It is truly unfortunate that the two clips of Xmas songs have had to be removed for copyright reasons (if you have time, have a look at the stories behind the two songs), but we do have some sparkling fret activity from Langley ‘Ribeye’ Hawke, guitarist with the Horny Rams. Maybe we can get “I’ll Be Home For Xmas” sorted for a charity release for the homeless one Xmas. That would be good.

You can sense that shadow and the Long Coat (hence cote) before he enters the studio. Battered by the rough seas and windswept moors, this world -weary traveller has lashings of tales woven into the fabric of his tunes.
If you want something different for Xmas, you could do worse than the incomparable rendering (or is it rending?) of the morbidly uncheerful “Have Yourself a Merry Little Xmas” or the plaintiff “I’ll Be Home For Xmas” which could knock Chris Rea off his roadside perch.
