Argostoli

Argostoli is the main town and has a large working harbour. It’s a bustling town with its municipal buildings, hotels, a hospital, shopping centre and dozens of restaurants and bars. There is a grand square too surrounded by bars and tavernas and, as you stroll along, you are besieged by requests to enter the plethora of establishments nearby.

I really like Argostoli for some reason. It’s got some great bars and eateries for all tastes.

The photographs above offer a summary of the kind of place it is, a much better summary than my words. There are even sea-turtles in the harbour. Recommend a visit unreservedly, especially in the evenings.
